Following Mr. Chmel’s death in 1962, Chmel-Viezner Co. Ltd. purchased the Prenco operation from J.K. Chmel’s estate and ownership was transferred to the three new shareholders: Stanley P. Viezner, Erica F. Viezner (wife), Stanley A. Viezner, (son).

The Company was registered as a Canadian Corporation. With a strong background in wire set manufacturing, the new shareholders realized the opportunity to assemble wire sets with available components, and sell a full range of parts in the aftermarket automotive segment.

As the number of automobile parts has proliferated, PRENCO has maintained it's superior service level by ensuring ready availability of original parts and equipment to cover domestic transplant, North American built foreign transplant and import vehicles.

PRENCO deals directly with original parts manufacturers from Australia, Brazil, Japan, England, France, Korea, Spain, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, China and the U.S. With vast warehousing facilities in Burnaby, Winnipeg, Calgary and Toronto which maintain extensive inventory, long lead times for foreign parts are virtually eliminated for customers
